Yahsat, truIT Uganda collaborate to launch satellite broadband service

Yahsat, a satellite operator based in the United Arab Emirates, recently announced the company’s collaboration with truIT Uganda to deliver its YahClick satellite broadband service in the country.

The new agreement will enable new business opportunities and connectivity in Uganda. Markets like banking, government and educational organizations, health care, home consumers, manufacturing and construction, media, NGOs, oil and gas will benefit from the high bandwidth connectivity from the partnership of YahSat and truIT Uganda.

The company of TruIT started as a web design and hosting company, and later evolved into an IT integration service provider. The Uganda Communications Commission gave a license to truIT as a public service provider in December 2012, therefore allowing the company to offer voice and data services. Their partnership with YahSat will allow the company to expand its offer and address the broadband shortages within various sectors of the country.
